Bobbi Brown: Stonewashed Nudes
And yet again we have a new Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palette, after Chocolate, Violet and Bridal, here comes “Stonewashed Nudes” palette.
While I really enjoy these types of shades and colors, this limited edition item doesn’t peak my interest at all. It just seems bland and boring, although it’s Bobbi’s most recent approach at creating a smoky eye, describing it as “(…)fresh with a bit of downtown attitude”, frankly I just don’t see the appeal.
Maybe my iris has been affected by the explosion of MAC’s “C-Shock”, but I’m not hopping on this bandwagon or thinking it’s one of the must-have fall items of the year. Sure yes, it’s portable, practical and allows you to turn your daytime to evening makeup fairly easily it doesn’t bring anything new or innovating, maybe it’s just me but I usually expect them to.
Now don’t think of me as an addicted to color that needs magentas, blues, pinks and purples every time, all the time but I tend to look at Limited Edition makeup palettes as items that carry some sort of special interest to them and this has failed to do so completely. If you already have Bobbi’s eyeshadows, you can easily pull the nude look with other colors from her collection without having to resort to a $50 palette.
However, if you are starting an eyeshadow collection or lack colors in the neutral/nude department, then by all means have a go at Stonewashed Nudes.
