Hot makeup - Best looks with Red Lipstick

by

Wearing Red lipstick is the perfect way to look fabulous without much effort. But don’t just slap on some red lipstick and think you are ready to go. Do take some care with the rest of your makeup. Here are 5 looks to pair with your red lipstick that work every time.

1.Fresh clean face – perfect for a casual day

>Start with freshly cleansed and moisturized skin. Apply a tinted moisturizer. I love Stila and Laura Mercier.
>Apply cream or gel blush in a light natural color that matched your tone. Try NARS Multiple, Stila Convertible Color or Laura Geller Cheek Pops. >Dot right on the apple of cheek and blend. You should look like a fresh faced toddler if you do it right.
>Groom brows and fill in with color if needed
>Apply a light shimmer cream shadow to lids. Lighter skins may want to try Delux Beauty Cream Eyeshadow in Sheer Ice, Medium skin Golden Apricot and Darker Skins Burnished Bronze. Just a light swipe with your ring finger for sheer coverage.
>Finish eyes with Mascara.
>Apply a sheer Red Lipstick. My favorite sheers are Stila Ava and Lola Torch which looks gorgeous on darker skins.

2. Classic Day Office (1)
>Start with freshly cleansed and moisturized skin. Apply your foundation and finish with powder.
>Apply a light neutral toned blush. Try NARS Orgasm for most skins and Lovejoy for darker tones.
>Groom brows and fill in with color if needed
>Sweep a medium toned powder shadow over lids from lash line to crease. Try Cargo in Mojave, Nepal or Ceylon.
>Finish eyes with Mascara.
>Apply Red lipstick of your choice.

3. Classic Day Office (2)Start with freshly cleansed and moisturized skin. >Apply your foundation and finish with powder.
>Apply a light neutral toned blush. Try NARS Orgasm for most skins and Lovejoy for darker tones.
>Groom brows and fill in with color if needed
>Apply a light sheer powder shadow with a slight sheen over entire lid. Stila Shadow Pots are perfect.
>Line upper eyelid only with liquid liner. Start at inner eye, laying the applicator brush on the lash line. Follow lash line to the end of eye, then wing out and up ever so slightly a the end of eye. Don’t use black for day. Instead try a softer color. NARS Bullit, a shimmer taupe is so beautiful on almost everyone. Darker tones should try browns. I love Lancome ARTLINER - Precision Point EyeLiner. And the color variety is lovely. For fun colors check out Urban Decay. I love Gash, a metallic red that brightens the eyes.
>Finish eyes with lots of Mascara.
>Apply Red lipstick of your choice.

4. Evening Classic
>Start with freshly cleansed and moisturized skin. Apply your foundation and finish with powder.
>Apply deeper blush to give you more flush than you would for day. Try Lorac in Crimson or NARS in crazed. If you get too much color, just sweep a dusting of loose powder over your blush to blend out.
>Groom brows and fill in with color if needed
Apply a light shimmer color over entire lid. Bourjois Multi Shimmer Loose Eye Shadows are perfect.
>Line eyes with Black liquid eyeliner. Try a long lasting formula like Bourjois liquid liner or Makuep Forever liquid liner. Start at inner eye, laying the applicator brush on the lash line. Follow lash line to the end of eye, then wing out and up ever so slightly at the end of eye. Go over your line again to deepen it slightly. For more exaggerated “cat eyes go over the last half of your liner again, extending it slightly above the initial line.
>Finish eyes with lots of Mascara.
>Apply Red lipstick of your choice.

5. Evening Super Vixen

>Start with freshly cleansed and moisturized skin. Apply your foundation and finish with powder.
>Apply deeper blush to give you more flush than you would for day. Try Lorac in Crimson or >NARS in crazed. If you get too much color, just sweep a dusting of loose powder over your blush to blend out.
>Groom brows and fill in with color if needed
>Apply Smoky Eye Makeup
>Finish eyes with lots of Mascara.
>Apply Red lipstick of your choice.
