Short Nails, Dark Nail Polish

by

It’s not only trendy, but it’s quite chic to sport short fingernails topped of with dark polish. Vamp became Chanel’s number one selling product after it’s introduction in March of 1995. Now grunge kids, punks as well as the ladies who lunch and fashionistas were all shopping at the same counter for nail polish.

Vamp is not a blood red. According to the Chanel folks, it’s the color of deoxygenated blood. Sounds gross, but’s it’s oh so beautiful. So my friends, dark polish is a trend that’s here to stay. I personally love it on toes and fingernails, and so do a bevy of celebrities, male and female. Check them out.

The “it” girl of the moment Lindsay Lohan wears the short dark manicured nails quite nicely.

So does that Spicy girl Victoria Beckham.

And let’s not foget that older does not mean unhip. Check out Diane Keaton’s nails.

Janet Jackson sports short dark nails as does rocker Lukas Rossi.

So will the dark short nail be a trend that goes on way of passe’ for 2007, or are dark short nails here to stay? Dark Nails, hot or not?
